Ms. Brulé

Called in for a last-minute substitute assignment, Ms. Brulé is thrilled at the prospect of landing her very first teaching contract. Her excitement quickly turns to panic, however, when she discovers she is the fourth substitute teacher the class has had that year. To make matters worse, her arrival coincides with the annual parent-teacher meetings, where she is expected to hand out report cards that have mysteriously gone missing.

Through a series of physical comedy routines blending slapstick and object theatre, the audience—at times cast as students, at others as parents—witnesses the unraveling of a teacher determined to hold on to a single hope: her calling to change the world, one child at a time.
